Maradona: Spanish Is Helped by Referee

Diego Maradona stated a fierce critic toward the corps of the field judges. This time it was considered the Argentine coach accused that Spain cruised into the quarterfinals due to the help of the referee.

Spain cruised into the quarter-finals after overcoming Portugal 1-0. The match that was led by Argentine referee Hector Baldassi was highlighted by a red card for Ricardo Costa.

“My close friend Baldassi, we are sometimes talking, but my impression he served very badly,” said Maradona was quoted as saying by the Associated Press.

“Baldassi very bad and the line judge is Andrea Bocelli,” says The Hand of God refers to a blind Italian tenor.

As reported by AFP, Maradona revealed “sin” corps of field judges’ action between the two countries in the Iberian Peninsula. “David Villa Goal was offside. While the red card for Ricardo Costa, I think it’s inappropriate,” said the former Napoli star’s 1980s.

‘Brazil Was Humiliating’

Criticism leveled Netherlands Coach Bert Van Marwijk told the Brazilian. The pillars of five-time world champion often considered provocation.

“By looking at the situation that caused the red card, then it will become something of an embarrassment for Brazilian football,” added the man who handles the Netherlands since 2008′s.
